Hello again! It’s been quite a while since I last posted any updates. For a long time, there was nothing good to say. But now the good news is that I’m writing again, and there will be a new book eventually.
I wish I could say how soon, but that’s hard to tell. Some days the muse is up at dawn, full of energy, and other days she can’t be persuaded to do anything at all. Still, what my temperamental muse and I can tell you is that the WIP I’m working on at the moment is a very cheery story, with a dash of intrigue and drama, plenty of unexpected twists and a great deal of laughter. I hope it’s right up your street.
In the meantime, while my muse is either yawning and twiddling her thumbs or keeping me at my keyboard well into the early hours, I thought I’d add a new page to my website:
If you know me, you’ll probably know that I used to travel all over the country in search of Pemberley, Mr Darcy and Jane Austen’s England. You’ll also know that I used to take hundreds and hundreds of photos.
This spring, my husband and I started travelling again, and finally made it to a part of the country we had never visited before. Then a little later my daughter organised a surprise trip with a delightful itinerary of which Mr Darcy would have certainly approved. It’ll come as no surprise to you that, yet again, hundreds of photos were duly taken 🙂
I’d love to share my collection of photos and mementoes with you, and take you at least in spirit to the wonderful places that inspire my stories. You might have seen some of them on my old website. As it turned out, making it GDPR-compliant was an uphill struggle so I moved house, but those blog posts are not lost. (Of course they’re not lost. I’m a hoarder. Every once in a while that’s a good thing 😀 ). I’m hoping to make them all available here, alongside the new photos and mementoes I’ll keep gathering on my way.
With any luck, we might meet up as we visit our favourite places. I hope we will!! Wishing you all the best, my friends, and have a lovely summer!
